Piscataway Mixed Martial Arts is a program offered by the Piscataway Department of Recreation
All Instructors, Administration, and Technology Support Staff are Unpaid Volunteers
serving with passion and dedication for the Martial Arts,
and giving back to the community of Piscataway.
| o Cuong Nhu Oriental Martial Arts, Nidan, 1995
o Studied under
the late founder and Grandmaster of Cuong Nhu, O'sensei Ngo Dong, from
1986 to 1999
o Also studied under Grandmaster Ernie Cates, Master
Danny Glover, and countless other instructors associated with Cuong Nhu
o First student to set foot in the "Shojin Cuong Nhu Karate"
dojo in 1986
o Founded Piscataqua Dojo in Piscataway N.J., 1994
o Program director and Head Instructor until Jan. 2008
o Primary liaison to Piscataway Dept. of Recreation
o Certified through a background check by Kid Safe |  |
o 25+ years of experience with multiple martial arts disciplines
o TaeKwonDo, Hapkido, Aikido, JiuJitsu, Combat Techniques
o Piscataway Dojo member since September 2002
o Volunteered to help with the children's class beginning in 2003
o Head Instructor since 2005

o Began assisting with the children's class in May 2007
o Sensei Tracy is a
Special Education Teacher in the North Plainfield School District
o Holds a Master's Degree in Middle School Mathematics
o Holds
certifications in Elementary Education, Middle School Math, Middle
School Science, and Teacher of the Deaf
o Also certified in canine
behavior training
o Hobbies include sewing and quilting,
and sews custom-made, monogrammed dog vests
o Embroiders student's name on uniform for the dojo
o Certified through a background check by Kid Safe

o An active volunteer at many of the
township schools including Eisenhower, Knollwoood, and Martin Luther King
o Handles the coordination of new student registration, attendance records, uniform orders
o Organizes dojo celebrations including December Holiday, Dojo Anniversary, End of Year parties
o Communicates dojo availability in relation to school-year calendar
